We’re a small, independent chiropractic practice with two Melbourne clinics — and we’ve been doing this long enough to know what patients actually want.
They want to feel heard. They want clear answers. And they want to be in control of their own care.
That’s been our approach since we opened in Richmond in 2005. It hasn’t changed.
My Chiropractic Place was founded on a straightforward idea: that people deserve skilled, individualised chiropractic care without the pressure of expensive prepaid packages or upselling.
Our two chiropractors — Dr Nam Nguyen and Dr David Addie — bring a combined 49 years of clinical experience to every patient they see. Both trained at RMIT University and have maintained membership with the Australian Gonstead Chiropractic Society for over 20 years.
That level of experience matters, especially when you’re dealing with something that’s been bothering you for months — or years.
Both practitioners use the Gonstead system of chiropractic care. It’s one of the most thorough and specific methods in the profession — and that specificity is the point.
Rather than applying a standard adjustment to every patient, the Gonstead method starts with a detailed assessment. Posture. Spinal palpation. X-ray analysis, where appropriate. The aim is to understand exactly what’s happening with your spine — not make assumptions based on your symptoms alone.
Your spine is yours. Your care should reflect that.
Every Client, Completely Satisfied
We follow a conservative-before-invasive approach.
That means looking at what can be achieved through careful, non-invasive chiropractic care before anything more significant is considered. We’ve seen many times over the years how a well-managed course of care has helped patients reduce their symptoms and, in some cases, avoid more invasive interventions entirely.
We can’t promise that it will be the outcome for everyone — every person’s situation is different. But it’s always our starting point.
You won’t be asked to commit to a prepaid treatment plan here.
After your assessment, we’ll be honest with you about what chiropractic care may be able to help with. From there, you decide. Some people come in for short-term symptom relief and leave once they’re feeling better — that’s completely fine. Others want to work through an underlying problem more thoroughly. Some come back periodically for maintenance.
Whatever makes sense for your life and your goals, we’ll support it. Nobody here will push you toward a care pathway you’re not comfortable with.
Richmond has been home to My Chiropractic Place since 2005. Caroline Springs followed in 2007, and Dr Nam was the first chiropractor to serve that community when it was still a growing suburb.
A lot has changed in both areas since then. The practice hasn’t. Many of the patients we first saw in those early years are still coming in today — some with their kids in tow.
That kind of continuity doesn’t happen by accident.
People come to us for a wide range of spinal and musculoskeletal concerns, including:
We see patients of all ages — from teenagers to older adults managing age-related spinal changes. If you’re not sure whether chiropractic care is relevant to what you’re experiencing, give us a call.
